In order for birth control pills to be 99.7% effective they must be taken every day AND within 30 minutes of the same time every day.

If you don't take your birth control pill at the same time everyday, the effectiveness drops to 92%. That means even if you take your pill everyday, you are 26 times more likely to get pregnant if you don't take it at the same time everyday.
